De Banketgroep is a leading Dutch company in waffles, cookies and cakes, having a strong position in the domestic market and showing strong growth in export. Every day, our six specialist bakeries produce the most delicious caramel waffles, fresh egg waffles, chocolate caramel waffles and other quality products. All of our 450 highly trained personnel are committed to create value for our customers. We aim to become our customers’ preferred supplier. To achieve this we focus on delivering high levels of customer service as well as core innovations.

Bakeries

The Banketgroep has six production locations in the Netherlands. In these specialized bakeries we prepare delicious fresh products with the finest ingredients and spices every day. All our bakeries meet the highest quality requirements.

In our bakeries, more than 400 highly trained professionals with passion and pride are employed to bake the most delicious products. Each year we produce over 200 million consumer packs finding their way to consumers via various supermarket chains and food service customers.

Gilde Equity Management Benelux established Banketgroep by merging Bakkersland Banket with Van der Breggen. Banketgroep is a leading Dutch company in cakes and pastries, with a strong position in the domestic market and showing strong growth in export.

Acquisition by Bakkersland Banket

Bakkersland

Neerlandia was acquired by Bakkersland Banket, who had already taken over Van Meeteren (caramel waffles) in 2000, and Wafel Janssen (fresh egg waffles) in 2001.

CSR policy & Certifications

Banketgroep meets the highest quality requirements

We aim for perfection in all facets of our business. We consider quality and safety as a top priority. For this reason, our people are well-trained and all our bakeries are IFS and BRC certified. Remaining critical and continuous improvement is part of our DNA.

Banketgroep proactively implements sustainable initiatives

We are co-responsible for people, environment, and animal welfare. As a leading company also we also want to be leaders in the field of sustainability.

In recent years we have implemented several CSR initiatives in our operations. We remain in constant dialog with our suppliers and customers looking for new opportunities to strengthen our CSR policy.

In our six bakeries we process only:

  • UTZ certified cocoa ingredients
  • RSPO certified palm oil
  • Natural colors, flavoring, and fragrances
  • Barn eggs
  • FSC certified paper for our packaging materials

Our other CSR initiatives:

  • Gradually reducing our C02 emissions, for example by placing LED lighting, our lease car policy and better insulation of our ovens.
  • Working towards healthier recipes by developing products with lower calorific values and less salt.
  • No. 1 in Bio caramel waffles and fresh egg waffles.
